Mrs. Teresa Romano is the math teacher for the St Ambrose middle school students. She studied at St. Joseph’s College and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in economics and business. She received her teaching certification in elementary education and Master of Arts Degree in teaching students with disabilities from New Jersey City University.
Mrs. Romano has taught in both public and Catholic schools, from kindergarten through eighth grade. She is the chapter advisor for the St. Ambrose National Junior Honor Society and is the team leader of the Math Club.
Mrs. Romano’s love of mathematics stems from an earlier career in the financial Industry where she specialized in foreign exchange and precious metals trading. Her teaching philosophy encourages all students to become active learners and to always think “outside the box”. Her method of teaching starts with helping students develop a conceptual understanding of mathematics. She provides effective and high quality instruction while providing specific interventions and enrichment for all students . Mrs. Romano utilizes a wide variety of instructional and assessment methods. She encourages all students to live the St. Ambrose mission and appreciate all their wonderful talents.
