“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
Mrs. Mariam Zaky holds her B.A. in English from Rutgers University and is a graduate of the Teacher Education Program at R-U as well. She received her K-12 English certification from the state of New Jersey and started teaching at the high school level right after graduating college. After getting married and having children, she stayed home to raise them while studying for a Master’s degree. She holds an M.E.d. from The American College of Education in Advanced Studies, English, and Online Teaching and Learning. She then went back to teaching at the college level before joining the Saint Ambrose family.
Mrs. Zaky is a big supporter of collaborative learning and combining fun and rigor in the classroom. Some of her yearly goals include encouraging students to be self- directed, igniting a love of God and literature, and thoroughly preparing students for high school and beyond. She considers it a true blessing to be immersed in the faith every day in her work and personal life. Christ is in our midst!
Mrs. Zaky’s favorite activities are (surprise!) reading and writing. She also enjoys going for walks and bike rides with her family and getting some fresh air and sunshine. Her two kids and husband enjoy traveling as much as she does. Together, they have been to 6 countries and 7 states. She loves the simple things in life: a good book, chocolate, great neighbors and friends, the library, exercise, food made from scratch, cozy blankets, and warm soup on a cold day.
